How this site maps North York

North York was a city of its own and is now part of the City of Toronto. The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB), whose MLS System supplies the listings and the sales figures on this site, does not publish a North York geography. It reports by district (Toronto C01 to C15, E01 to E11 and W01 to W10) and by community within each district.

To decide which communities belong on this site we started from the City of Toronto's own files. The City publishes the boundary of the former City of North York and the boundaries of its present neighbourhoods as open data. A TRREB community is on our North York list when the City neighbourhood of the same name has its centre inside the former North York boundary. Lawrence Park North is the one exception: its centre falls in the former City of Toronto and it is included because the Yonge and Lawrence guide covers it.

Two cautions follow from this. TRREB community boundaries and City neighbourhood boundaries are separate systems that share names, so they may not match exactly. Some TRREB districts also reach beyond North York: districts C04, C11, W04, W05 are only partly inside the former boundary. For that reason this site never adds districts together into a North York figure.

Sales counts are for Q2 2026, from TRREB's community reports. They cover all home types and show how many of those sales were condo apartments.

Questions about North York areas

Does TRREB report figures for North York?

No. The Toronto Regional Real Estate Board reports by district (Toronto C14, for example) and by community (Willowdale East, for example). North York is a former city whose boundary comes from the City of Toronto, so no TRREB report carries a North York total.

Which TRREB districts cover North York?

Districts C06, C07, C12, C13, C14 and C15 fall inside the former North York boundary on the City of Toronto boundary file. Districts C04, C11, W04, W05 are partly inside it. District C10 is not in North York.

Where is the line between the three Yonge Street guides?

The split follows TRREB communities. Yonge and Sheppard covers the south end, in Lansing-Westgate and Willowdale East. Willowdale and North York Centre covers Sheppard to Finch, in Willowdale East and Willowdale West. Yonge and Finch covers north of Finch, in Newtonbrook East and Newtonbrook West.

Is Yonge and Lawrence part of North York?

Partly. On the City of Toronto boundary file, Bedford Park-Nortown sits inside the former City of North York. The centre of Lawrence Park North sits in the former City of Toronto. The guide covers both communities and says so.

Which communities recorded the most condo apartment sales?

In Q2 2026, of the communities in these guides, Willowdale East recorded 153 condo apartment sales, Bayview Village 83, Henry Farm 58 and Banbury-Don Mills 50, according to TRREB's community reports.
